Flying Saucer Fall Beer Festival – VIDEO & RECAP

SaucerGlass

In case you missed it, we got all your 2009 Flying Saucer Fall Beer Festival content right here. Highlights include:

A cross-country beer selection.

Tents.

Overhead handheld camera angles.

Lines.

Amatuer beer criticism.

Close-ups of logo glasses partially drunk (drank? drunken?)

All of this processed through the awkward video machine that has become a BTA signature.  Also, you can keep track of JIB’s beer count fairly easy as it coincides with the number of times he says “tasty.”  So be sure to play along at home.

But really, the beer was great.  A great selection that was well organized and well thought out.  The biggest problem was deciding which beers to choose from each line, and that’s a great problem to have.  The lines appeared daunting at first, but they moved quickly (even when the TX line wrapped nearly around the seating tent), and everyone around us seemed to be having an equally good time trying out all the new beers.

So if you made it out to the festival we hope this video will take you back to a better place away from the cubicle or whatever weekday monstrosity it is you have to face, and if you you didn’t, well then we hope you’ve learned your lesson. Because you sure did miss out.

A big thanks to the Saucer for throwing this event; great job guys, we’re already looking forward to next year’s festival.

“Tasty.”

  1. Guys- Thanks for the video and recap of the Saucer’s 2nd Fall Beer Fest. We had a great time and enjoyed pouring so many special brews. We are already working on the details for next year and we promise it will be bigger, better, and tastier than EVER! We’ll make room for more taps, more tents, and shorter lines. Thanks again and keep up the good work w/ the Austin beer scene…..Ted Rowell, Austin Saucer GM

  2. Looks like you guys started getting a little drunk around minute 7…
