High Ball Hosting a Utopias Tasting
HighBall is hosting a Utopias tasting on January 18th.
Yowza. It’s pricey too. $54 for two 2 oz tasters… and that’s with “no markup at all.”

We have managed to secure two bottles of this mighty brew and are hosting a tasting at the Highball for a very small group of obsessive beer enthusiasts. Two bottles will be divided evenly between 12 people. Each person will get 2 2oz glasses of the magic elixir, and the 2 souvenir bottles will be given away by raffle ticket. The price is $54 per person. There’s no markup at all, that pricetag is simply the actual cost of the bottles divided by 12. I’ve already bought one of the tickets, as has COO Mike Sherrill and bar manager Ryan Schibi. My friend who told me about the beer snagged two for himself. That leaves 7 up for grabs. I don’t expect them to last long…
They will be raffling off the empty bottles among the tasters afterwards. You know, for all you guys (me) who like to keep your prized empties on top of the fridge to your wife’s/roommate’s chagrin.
