Because You Like Beer You Like the Alamo Drafthouse

The Alamo Drafthouse, or Drafthouse (not Draught House- very confusing, especially when making plans or in text messages “Hy wuna go 2 tha Draught House l8r?” “Yaeh sure. I could go to the Draft House. What’s out?” “WTF…beer?”)… uh, is a local cinema chain. You probably know about it, have disappointingly had to see Daddy Daycare there because I Heart Huckabees was sold out, and possibly have passive aggressively fought for the arm rest with Quentin Tarantino, Bruce “Groovy” Campbell, or any number of 80s’ teen stars all grown up and ready to do anything to feel like a celebrity again and a free meal.

Semi-Pro was rough, but this is still pretty cool that the Drafthouse could pull this off:

Mainly, you like it because the Drafthouse knows their beer about as well as they know their movies. They even had Independence Brewing Co. craft a special Alamo Amber just for them (now known and sold as the Austin Amber).
Alamo Lake Creek (an Alamo franchise) very often has beer tours and has brought in Allagash, Abita, and host the Dogfish Head(*salivates*) Off-Centered Film Fest.

Another reason you like the Alamo, Duff Beer when the Simpsons Movie came out the chain served Duff Beer (aka Alamo Amber, aka Austin Amber). Legal? Maybe not. Novelly delicious? Absolutely!

And mainly you like the Alamo because:
1. They screened the 2004 documentary American Beer.
2. They served a taster flight of beers from breweries visited in the film (a feat that is possible to recreate at home via Netflix and a trip to Grapevine Market, but not possible wt/out pausing throughout the film, divvying up beers cost, and possibly coming across as maybe obsessed or alcoholic [BeerTownAustin fully endorses attempting this at home, at least once]).

Imagine some type of segway into why I should post the trailer.
